Fall 2020 City of Hoover Youth Flag Football
*ALL FLAG BELTS MUST BE TURNED BACK IN TO THE HEAD COACHES AT THE END OF THE SEASON
Youth Recreational Flag Football Program Overview
The City of Hoover offers a fall recreational youth flag football program for boys and girls Kindergarten thru 10th grade for the Fall 2020 season. Registration is open to residents and non-residents of Hoover beginning June 2nd. The last day to register is Wednesday, August 5th. Girls individually and All Girls teams have the option of playing down a grade. Flag football is a great way to play and learn the skills of football without the contact required of tackle football. Last fall, 2019, we had 99 teams participate in the City of Hoover Youth Flag Football League. Players are required to register and attend a player evaluation. Players will be drafted after evaluations and contacted by their coach about practices and game times. One practice during the week and games take place during the week at the new turf fields at the Hoover Met Sports Complex for grades 3rd and up. One practice during the week and games take place on Saturday mornings at Spain Park Sports Complex for 2nd Grade and below. Must be 5 years old as of August 20th in order to play in the Kindergarten League
